چکیده

flow visualization for the same volunteer examined at 1.5T (left) and 3T (right). Top: Time-average 3D PC-MRA was calculated from the 4D data and displayed as gray shaded semi transparent iso-surface. Bottom: Two emitter plane (top right) were used to generate systolic 3D steam-lines by forward / backward tracing of the measured threedirectional velocity vector field. Flow quantification was performed in the ascending (AAo) and descending (DAo) aorta at the height of the pulmonary artery (PA).

Comparison of 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners in evaluation of acute bone stress in the foot

BACKGROUND Bone stress injuries are common in athletes and military recruits. Only a minority of bone stress changes are available on plain radiographs. Acute bone stress is often visible on MRI as bone marrow edema, which is also seen in many other disease processes such as malignancies, inflammatory conditions and infections. The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability of radiogr...

Aortic 4D flow: quantifying the effects of contrast and field strength at 1.5 T, 3T and 7T

Background 4D flow is a promising new method for assessment of aortic pathology, but is limited by signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) leading to long acquisition times. Higher field strength may prove a solution. SNR in aortic 4D flow increases at 3T versus 1.5T (Strecker et al, JMRI 2012) and further by adding a contrast agent (Bock et al, MRM 2010). This work extends this comparison to human 7 Tesla...

Normal findings on brain fluid-attenuated inversion recovery MR images at 3T.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Fluid attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR) MR imaging of the brain has become a routine tool for assessing lesions in patients with suspected neurologic disorders. There is growing interest in 3T brain FLAIR MR imaging but little normative data are available. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the frequency and topography of cerebral hyperintensities seen with FLA...

1.5T vs. 3T Body MRI: Qualitative and Quantitative Comparison of T2 Weighted Images for Liver Lesion Detection

J. SZKLARUK, P. R. BHOSALE, A. Balachandran, C. S. NG, E. P. TAMM, J. Ma DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY, MD ANDERSON, HOUSTON, TX, United States Introduction MRI of the liver is routinely used in the staging and follow-up of oncologic patients. The current clinical practice is to use a 1.5T magnet. 3.0T MRI scanners offer superior signal to noise ratio (SNR) over the conventional 1.5T. There are limited ...

Improved depiction of hemodynamics in intracranial aneurysms by 4D flow MRI at 7T compared to 3T

Background Intracranial aneurysms are life threatening conditions and occur in 3-6% of the population. The annual rupture rate is approximately 2% associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Hemodynamic information obtained by 4D flow MRI may contribute to the assessment of rupture risk of intracranial aneurysms. However, the small sizes of intracranial aneurysms require high spatial r...
